9/14/23 KUJH Show 1 Fall 2023 Season

Full Show:

Catch up with Co-anchors Jaxson Reed and Claire Decatur for KUJH’s first show of Fall 2023. Learn about students boosting the local economy in Lawrence, a Vietnam War exhibit at Watkins Museum, an Eudora High School golf standout, and more.

Students return to Lawrence and help boost the local economy. But, over the summer the locals enjoy a break from the town’s busy season. Check out more on the story with Claire Decatur.

The Lawrence Police Department is partnering with “Lights On” which provides drivers a coupon to get headlights fixed for free when pulled over for a broken light. Dylan VanderVeen reports that three maintenance shops around Lawrence are involved with the program so far.

Every year on KU’s campus, students struggle to find parking spots that are convenient, not overcrowded, and that allow them to get to class in a timely manner. Blake Ullmann takes us to one of these crowded parking lots and the Parking and Transit office to hear more on the matter.

Jaxson Reed takes us to the Watkins Community Museum to learn more about its Vietnam War exhibit.

Catch up with Aidan Pezold on KU sports, and learn more about up-and-coming Eudora High School golfer Joellen Vogt in a segment from Jack Denebeim.
