Kansas State Student Reports Car Vandalized With Racist Messages Blog Local News 11/03/2017 Tweet Down the road in Manhattan, there have also been reports of a racially charged incident. A Kansas State student reported an incident of racially charged vandalism. Riley County Police are deciding whether or not to investigate it as a hate crime. Someone wrote on the car the words “die,” “date your own kind,” “go home,” “whites only” and “come outside to get hanged,” among other things. A student saw the car and alerted K-State authorities. Once K-State found out the car was not owned by a student, they turned the investigation to Riley County Police. This is at least the fourth racist incident to happen in Manhattan since April.
