For one Sunday afternoon it was less about the game and more about the cause. All ticket proceeds went to hurricane relief, along with the pay-per-view subscription of $40. In total the game raised $1.75 million. Donations closed at 10 p.m. Sunday night with an additional $646,240 to Houston, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The name of the four charities donated to included one America appeal. Those fans who contributed to hurricane relief got to see one of the best rivalries in the NCAA on the basketball court.
