Student Senate Elections Commission heard six complaints regarding campaign violations. Alleged violations include standing too close to polling stations, and influencing votes. According to Commission Chief Garrett Farlow, this year saw 20 more alleged offenses than last year. Farlow said the commission will fight an uphill battle next election season. “I’ve been very frustrated with candidates at every step of the way but you come to see what they’re in it for and how hard they try, and it makes you want to ensure that fairness is on every candidates back.” The deadline for further appeals expires Wednesday night.
