The new app Rave Guardian will notify students of any danger in the area, free of charge. The app includes features such as a 911 button and “safe destination” notification services. Joe Monaco, director of strategic communications for KU office of public affairs, says the University will still send text messages in the case of an emergency that threatens the campus and requires immediate action.
