KU Alumna Continues to Serve Cross Country and Track Teams Blog News Sports 09/09/201609/09/2016 Tweet University of Kansas alumna Jean Kerich has been retired for over nine years, but that doesn’t mean she has retired from her passions. Kerich still serves as a bus driver for the University of Kansas’s track and cross country teams. Kerich, a former high school track coach, clocks in six days a week, year round. Despite the early mornings, late nights and weekends, Kerich saaid she loves the sport. “To me, it was a no-brainer. I was just really happy to have the opportunity,” Kerich said. “It’s never a burden. It’s too much fun to be a burden.” Kerich and her husband Pat also work as year-round officials at University of Kansas home track meets.
