Vice President of Student Senate Resigns

Student Body Vice President Zach George announced his resignation Wednesday afternoon. George was offered a position at the National Association of Counties, which requires him to move to Washington D.C. in two weeks. His resignation will take effect after next weeks meeting.

Student Senate officials still have a month left of their term and they do not want to leave the vice president seat empty. Senate members will be looking for George’s replacement within the next week.

Before he leaves, George still has a couple of items to check off his list. One of the items is at the meeting tonight they are reviewing a resolution to make KU a tobacco free campus.
