What Went Viral February 5

In this week’s edition of ‘what went viral’ we take a look at the pre-aired super bowl 50 commercials that have everyone talking.

  1. Ryan Reynolds

Film star Ryan Reynolds stars in a new Hyundai commercial in which his co-star is…well, Ryan Reynolds.

He is the only resident of Ryanville, which can be distracting if you’re a female who thinks he’s a semi-attractive guy.

You can see Reynolds in the upcoming film Deadpool, which comes out on February 12.

  1. Steven Tyler and Skittles

Skittles. A candy we all love. And what could be better than having your face immortalized in fruit-flavored candies?

That’s reality for rock star Steven Tyler… well, kind of.

In the new skittles commercial, Tyler’s skittle portrait can be seen rocking Aerosmith’s “Dream On.”

Skittles slogan for the commercial. “Rock the rainbow. Taste the rainbow.”

  1. Drake (typical)

Finally… when you get that hotline bling… It can only mean one thing… That drake is in a cell phone ad.

He’s dancing to his hit song “hotline bling” in the T-mobile ad, but Drake is interrupted by executives trying to change the lyrics of his hit song.

  1. Maurice White

We pay our respects to Maurice White, founder of legendary band Earth, Wind, and Fire.

With hits such as “Shining Star,” “September,” and “That’s the Way of the World,” White was responsible for giving people a sound to groove to and crossing music boundaries.

Earth, Wind, & Fire paid homage to their late member by posting this picture on twitter saying “the light is he, shining on you and me.”
