KU Police Investigating Sexual Battery Incident

University of Kansas police are currently investigating a reported sexual battery that occurred yesterday on campus. The report came from a female student at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Capt. James Anguiano of KU’s Public Safety Office said the victim told police that an unknown man grabbed her groin as she was walking alone near the Wescoe Hall loading dock.

The man was later described by her as a white male in his mid-twenties and having a faux-hawk haircut. Additionally, the man stands about 5’10″and was wearing blue jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and black dress shoes.

After grabbing the student, Anguiano said the man ran off heading southwest away from Wescoe Drive, but unfortunately nobody was around to pursue him.

Once the sexual battery incident was reported, the KU Safety Office sent out an alert to the entire KU campus community.

The last time KU sent out a campus wide crime alert was back in January.
