The bites cause extreme itchiness to the effected area. “I felt like I had chicken pox, and I just, like, kept itching, them all over,” said Allie Leath and KU Student who has been bitten multiple times. Students who are bitten complain of small red welts and rashes. Health professionals say the best prevention is to shower and wash your clothes after being outside. If you have been bitten Benadryl and Hydrocortisone cream are the best medicine to help with the itching.
