Iowa State Preview
Alex and Kristina preview the upcoming Homecoming football game against Iowa State. Kansas has one of the best running games and Iowa has a struggling running defense. With Jake Sharp still injured and not able to play at his full potential, Alexander Robinson of Iowa may be a large threat. Robinson is an inconsistent player, but when he is on, there is no stopping him. Kristina predicts a 40-14 win and Alex predicts a 35-17 win.
Kansas is Eying the Prize
Alex and Kristina have high hopes for KU success in the Big 12 North Title. KU will be keeping an eye out for its largest competition, which will prove to be Missouri and Nebraska. In the South, Texas is having an impressive season, which is no surprise. Coach Brown may lead them to a Big 12 Title, as well as a shot at the National Championship. Oklahoma is struggling due to Sam Bradford being out, they have dropped to number 19, leaving more opportunity for KU to come out with the Big 12 Title.
New Start for Softball
New head coach for the softball team, Megan Smith, has very positive hopes for the teams season. The girls began their most recent game with many small errors, but Smith says they will continue to work on it in practice. The seniors then led the team to a 7-0 win against Washburn. This upcoming weekend, the team has their Fall Invite.

Soccer and Volleyball Lose Focus
Peter reflects on the soccer teams most recent struggles this past weekend. The teams defense had too many penalties inside the box. The offense was able to score four goals, but it was not enough to save the team from the six goals it let by. Senior defender, Estelle Johnson, will need to step it up and lead the defense against Texas Tech Friday and Colorado Sunday. Volleyball continues to struggle in the Big 12, they are a good team, but so are many other teams they are competing against. They will need to focus and come out strong in their game against Nebraska this Wednesday.
