The University of Kansas volleyball team (7-6, 1-3) lost to the third ranked Texas Longhorns (8-2, 2-1) on Saturday in the Horejsi Family Athletic Center.
It was the second consecutive match against a team ranked in the top five in the nation for Kansas, and for the second consecutive match the Jayhawks were able to steal a set, but eventually lost in four.
Destinee Hooker, UT junior, led all players with 20 kills in the match while sophomore Jenna Kaiser led Kansas with 12.
Kansas will play its third straight ranked opponent when the Kansas State Wildcats (13-2, 3-1) visit Lawrence this Wednesday. The match will start at 7 p.m.
