Chalk is a free publication available at the following locations:

  • KU Bookstore in the Kansas Union
  • All Sororities and Fraternities
  • All Dorms
  • Kansas Alumni Association
  • Handed out on campus February 28 and March 1 near Wescoe Beach
Chalk, a new magazine on campus, can be found everywhere from the KU bookstore to dorms and most apartments. Thanks to the hard work of 24 students and the World Company, Lawrence has another another source of information about nightlife, fashion and lifestyle. Sarah Miller, Student Director of Advertising and Marketing said Chalk is different than other publications. "There really wasn't a medium out there for KU students. There wasn't a glossy, big magazine with lots of pictures about the lifestyle of KU students, the broad range of lifestyles," Miller said. The new magazine, Chalk, debuted Feb. 28th. Although Chalk currently has only been published once a semester, Miller hopes it will soon be published two to three times a semester.
