KU job candidates make final pitch

The first of KU's final three candidates for the position of Associate Vice Provost for Student Success gave his presentation today. Johathon Lang, Vice President for Student Services at Johnson County Community College made his hour-long presentation this afternoon at the Kansas Union.

Lang's presentation focused on three main principles, which included enthusiastically listening to students, encouraging and reinforcing their successes, and genuinely caring about their concerns. Lang said he thinks it's very important for every student to leave KU having felt recognized for success.

Lori Reesor, Associate Dean of Education and Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, will give her presentation Wednesday.
