After Saturday night's shootings outside The Granada,1020 Mass., some Lawrence residents are blaming the rapper named Doe, the headlining act, for encouraging violent behavior. But Doe blamed the Granada for the lack of security at the event.

"I do not promote violence and was personally affected by the shooting. The 46-year-old victim was my uncle," Doe said. "The violence could have easily been avoided if The Granada would have provided adequate security for the show."

"My promoter paid The Granada $450 for five extra security guards and a police officer to ensure no violence occurred after the show," Doe said. "The Granada decided not to provide the extra security," Doe said.
