Two of the hottest teams in the Big 12 square off at 12 p.m. Sunday in Allen Fieldhouse. The Kansas Jayhawks (14-6, 5-2) have won the last five games, giving them a record of 11-2 in the last 13 games. The No. 19 Oklahoma Sooners (14-4, 5-2) are riding on a five-game winning streak, including a 82-72 victory over then-No. 4 Texas Jan. 28. Both teams are one game behind Texas for first place in the conference. Bill Self said the teams' winning streaks don't matter in setting the stage for Sunday's match-up.
Bill Self said KU's and OU's streaks won't have a big impact on the game.
While Sunday's match-up is critical to remain in the race to catch Texas, Self spoke a lot about the future of the team, particularly the freshman.
