Football team visits children's medical center

After a practice at 11 a.m. Wednesday, five Jayhawks and five Cougars headed to Cook's Children Medical Center in Fort Worth to pay a special visit to patients. Representing Kansas at the medical center was freshman Angus Quigley, Justin Thornton, Kerry Meier and Jeff Wheeler. After the medical center visit, the Jayhawks ate as a team at the Reata in Fort Worth. Check with tv.ku.edu on Thursday to hear from Head coach, Mark Mangino, other KU players, Houston head coach, Art Briles and other Houston players. Also check back to hear from Barry Switzer as he speaks during the Fort Worth Bowl Kickoff Luncheon. Later Thursday night see highlights from the Fort Worth Pep Rally with Mark Mangino, KU Band, cheerleaders and Rock Chalk Dancers.
