The Kansas women's basketball team had no trouble disposing of the Binghamton Bearcats on Sunday winning 77-53. The game marked the first ever meeting between the two schools and was the first time the KU women had ever played a team from the America East Conference.
Senior Crystal Kemp scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and recorded her 18th double-double. Freshman Ivana Catic debuted with 13 points and seven assists and junior transfer Shaq Mosley poured in 10 points to go along with eight assists. Kansas led 48-22 at the half.
After the game, head coach Bonnie Henrickson complimented her team on its play.
"We had five or six kids that pitched in and defensively and offensively took good shots and made good shots and distributed the ball," Henrickson said. "The two young ones had 15 assists between them. Kahylee's near a career high, Kemp again leads in scoring and again takes good shots."
