No. 24 Kansas defeated Missouri State and Iowa, winning 11 of 16 events, Friday afternoon at Robinson Natatorium in Lawrence.
KU freshman Ashley Leidigh took first place four times in the meet, winning the 200-yard butterfly (2:01:43), 100-yard freestyle (52:03), 100-yard butterfly (55:37) and was a member of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay with Terri Schramka, Gina Gnatzig and Lindsey Erbatchka (3:30.45).
Other winning Jayhawks were Molly Brammer in the 1650-yard free (17:16.87), Shanna Bradbury in the 400-yard individual medley (4:30.46) and Danielle Hermann in the 100-yard breast (1:06.43) and the 200-yard breast (2:23:21). Gina Gnatzig won the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.14) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:01.60). Kansas also won the 200-yard medley relay (1:46.03).
On the diving board, Hannah McMacken placed third in the three-meter competition and Robyn Karlage also placed third in the one-meter competition.
