The Strawberry Hill Tree Farm in West Lawrence will be ready to open its gates Nov. 19 for tree shoppers looking to cut their own trees. Owners Eric and Lynh Walther don't expect the recent natural disasters and dull economy to affect their sales.
"People have built up family traditions, or they are trying to build on family tradition," Eric Walther said. "And Christmas is one of the primary family holidays of the year. People travel from all over the world or cross country and so forth to get home for Christmas."
The Strawberry Hill Tree Farm also offers hay rides, apple cider and gifts that are available to commemorate the experience.
