The new exhibition "Explore Evolution" opened Tuesday at the University of Kansas Natural History Museum. The exhibition offers visitors insight on the latest scientific research of evolution.
The presentation features a collection of research and major discoveries from internationally recognized scientists. Seven displays, from genes to chimps, illustrate basic evolutionary principles and show visitors the impact evolutionary knowledge has had on the advancement of modern-day science and medicine.
Topics include the HIV virus, Darwinian theory, fossil evidence and a comparison of chimp and human DNA.
The exhibition offers interactive activities, video displays and lectures. Public-educational programs will also be announced during the course of the exhibition.
The free display is open for public viewing during regular museum hours for the next two years.
