The city has welcomed several new sushi spots to Lawrence this year… But the most recent one does more than just serve up raw fish.
Sushi Ko had it’s grand opening event last night. The owners say that the atmosphere and presentation is what sets their restaurant apart. The head chef approaches each dish as a work of art. He says he wants every meal to be an experience. From simple rolls to fish on fire… They even present the cocktails as a masterpiece.
“Many chefs don’t do practice. They can make just a simple cut roll, but I don’t like it. I want to make something specialty, you know?”
The restaurant is open seven days a week, however, they close daily from 3-5 p.m. Students can get 10 percent off with a student ID.
