The highly anticipated Star Wars Battle Front II was released today, but without the fanfare Electronic Arts had hoped for.
The second installment of the franchise has come under scrutiny recently as EA has implemented a “Pay-to-Win” system where players must purchase loot crates with a random assortment of perks and bonuses. Many critics say EA is exploiting their audience for more money by forcing players to spend money in order to remain competitive in the game.
EA attempted to respond to concerned users via Reddit, and it didn’t go well.
EA announced they will implement changes after hearing feedback from users.
