The Kansas Jayhawks and Michigan State Spartans will face off in the Round of 32 on Sunday. Although many are familiar with the coaching hall of fame matchup between Bill Self and Tom Izzo, another some may not know is one between Michigan natives Josh Jackson and Miles Bridges.
The two freshman standouts are familiar with one another, having played on the same AAU team in high school.
“It would be a pretty good matchup. We have played each other multiple times before so we both know what the other one likes to do,” Jackson said. “I think ultimately if we were to play each other it wouldn’t come down to me and Miles. It would really come down to our teammates.”
Bridges is averaging 16.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game on the season.
The two freshman will have the chance to go head-to-head on Sunday when the Jayhawks and the Spartans meet in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
