To no one’s surprise, Douglas County tends to vote for the Democratic candidate in Presidential elections. This year looks to be no different.
However, this is a large difference from the rest of the historically Republican state. As of November 2, Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton in the Kansas state polls. Trump sits at 46.8 percent and Clinton at 34.9 percent.
In Douglas County polls, Clinton holds a 42 percentage point lead over Trump. The numbers: Clinton with 62.7 percent and Trump with 19.8 percent, are not even close as early voting has begun and Election Day quickly approaches.
