President-Elect Trump Moves Quickly with Cabinet Appointments Blog News 11/30/2016 Tweet President-Elect Donald Trump is quickly moving forward with his cabinet appointments and nominations. Five positions have been locked in, including Kansas Representative Mike Pompeo for C.I.A. Director. At some time, Pompeo will nee to resign from his seat in the House. Once that seat is vacant, Governor Brownback will have five days to set a date for a special election, which needs to be set 45 to 60 days from then. Today was a key meeting day for Trump, after inviting Democrat and strong Bernie Sanders supporter Tulsi Gabbard to Trump Tower. He also spoke with fellow Democrat Michelle Rhee yesterday. Trump is expected to release his full cabinet list much sooner than past presidents, commenting that he “made a couple deals and will let [the public] know soon.” Related posts: White House Remains Quiet After Trump’s Wire Tapping Claims President Trump’s Personal Twitter Account Deleted for 11 Minutes President Trump Seeks To End Birthright Citizenship Douglas County Votes Counted Quickly
