A University of Kansas student died in a car accident on K-10 highway.
Nick Herren, an upperclassman at KU, lost control of his pickup when driving east on K-10 right off Cedar Creek Parkway.
His truck entered the median sideways before rolling and landing in a ditch yesterday afternoon.
Herran and another passenger were transported to a local hospital where Herren died.
According to Herran’s Facebook, he was studying supply chain management and was a member of the KU ROTC program.
Herren’s crash was only one of four that happened on K-10 yesterday.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports that four accidents happened around the same location between 4-8 p.m.
Two of the other accidents were injury-related.
