Next year, University of Kansas students could see the highest increase in housing and dining rates yet.
The University submitted a proposal to the Kansas Board of Regents on Wednesday. It was reviewed by campus groups and student representatives.
The cost of a typical dining and housing plan would go up by 4.9 percent, an extra $474 than what students pay now.
Five other universities in Kansas are looking to increase rates as well. The Board of Regents is expected to accept the proposal in December.
