How to Register to Vote After You Watch the Debate Tonight

Tonight, make sure you’ve finished your work so you can dedicate a full 90 minutes to watch the heavily awaited Presidential Debate.

Starting at 8 p.m., it will be broadcast on all major T.V. networks, along with streaming through Facebook Live and YouTube.

Following the debate, you can register to vote in several ways.

Out-of-state students should go to Vote.org to request an absentee ballot application.

If you are registered to vote in your respective state, you’re able to receive your application and send it in to your state by its deadline. Vote.org lists each state’s deadline to receive the application and to receive the actual mail-in ballot.

In state students can register at the Douglas County Clerk office, 1100 Mass. Street, or online at Vote.org.

After watching the debate, you can attend a discussion on it with Dole Fellow Steve Kraske and two special guest speakers, tomorrow at the Dole Institute of Politics at 4 p.m.
