Department of Parking and Transit is Developing New Ways for Students to Voice Concerns

The University of Kansas Department of Parking and Transit held a parking forum on Wednesday afternoon, but only nine people were in attendance and only one student was willing to voice his or her opinion. The previous forum had only three members in attendance.

Due to the low attendance, Parking and Transit is contemplating new strategies to allow students to voice their concerns. New strategies included using Skype, Facebook Live and Twitter.

Director of Parking and Transit Donna Hultine said she thinks students are afraid to come to a meeting and voice their opinions, and these new strategies might increase student attendance.
