The Lawrence Police Department received a report of an attempted robbery between 10:40 and 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 1.

A female student reported she was walking int he 1100 block of Louisiana when an unknown male pushed her down and tried to take her backpack.

The male ran from the area.
