Two Football Players Receive Hardship Waiver Blog Sports 04/20/2016 Tweet Two of KU’s quarterbacks, Montell Cozart and Deondre Ford, have received Hardship Waivers from the Big 12. Both of the quarterbacks will begin their 2016 campaign as redshirt juniors, leaving them with two more years of eligibility. Cozart started three of the first four games in the 2015 season before a season-ending injury against Iowa State. Ford, however, saw time in only two games last season. The Jayhawks start their 2016 season on September 3 vs. Rhode Island.
