Student Senate Discusses KU’s Off-Campus Jurisdiction

This past Wednesday night, student senate held a meeting to propose much needed revisions as well as a few new acts to the code of conduct.

Senate discussed topics such as race, sex, and off campus jurisdiction language proposed by administration.

The off-campus jurisdiction would potentially allow the university to punish students for criminal acts done off campus. Currently the university can only punish a student if they are in legal trouble on campus or by school sponsored events.
