LOUISVILLE, Ky. – While the Kansas Jayhawks have mostly avoided injuries throughout the season so far, they had a scare during the team’s shoot around on Wednesday afternoon.
Kansas junior forward Landen Lucas was with the other KU forwards in a driving layup drill, when Lucas came down from a shot and landed on the foot of senior Jamari Traylor, who was still under the basket from his prior attempt.
Lucas briefly winced after he landed, and then limped to the side. After testing weight on his foot for a few minutes, he later joined fellow forward Cheick Diallo for a game of one on one.
Lucas had a smile on his face and was jogging without a noticeable limp for the remainder of the practice, so it would appear that it is not a serious injury.
