Baseball Snowed Out on Sunday Blog Sports 03/28/2016 Tweet Kansas baseball’s season so far has been not exactly what KU wanted. A 7-11 record going into the start of Big 12 play is not entirely what they expected. Then KU dropped the first two games to West Virginia, 1-0 on Friday and then 11-6 on Saturday. But what happened Sunday was interesting to say the least. A freak snow storm cancelled the game between the Jayhawks and Mountaineers. This caused the Mountaineers to go to Twitter with some hilarity. Tweets such as “Advantage, Mountaineers” with a picture of the snow covered field and “Due to snow in Lawrence today’s game on Sunday at Kansas has been cancelled. Rumors of a snowball fight vs KU baseball instead are unconfirmed,” came from the Twitter. No word on if the game will be rescheduled.
