3 years, 1 court storming, and a controversial dunk later, the Kansas Jayhawks earned their first win since 2013 at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, KS. For Frank Mason III, a win against the Wildcats was important for him and the junior class, having never won at the Kansas State venue. The junior point guard lead the Jayhawks in scoring with 16 points and 5 assists, and not to mention a few blows in what was a very physical game for both teams. Wayne Selden contributed 12 points, but the loner bucket by Devonte Graham ultimately propelled KU past the machine that was the Kansas State crowd in a final score of 72-63.
With a 2-game lead in the race for the conference, and ultimately twelve-straight Big 12 titles, the Jayhawks will travel south to Waco, TX for a meeting with the Baylor Bears. Kansas won the first meeting at the Phog earlier this year with a 102-74 blowout.
