Women’s Basketball Drops First Home Loss to St. Johns

KU Women’s basketball is perfect at home no more. The Jayhawks dropped their first home loss of the season to the red storm, of St. Johns University.

Three starting Jayhawks dropped double-digit points; junior forward Caelynn Manning-Allen, sophomore guard Lauren Aldridge, and freshman guard Kylee Kopatich.

Manning-Allen had a career high of 15 points and added five rebounds and two blocks. Aldridge ended with 13 points shooting four of four from the free throw line. Kopatich scored 10 and snagged seven boards, a team high.

The red-storm was led by Aliyyah Handford, who put up a career-best 33 points on 16-of 25 shooting in the contest.

Next up for the Jayhawks is UMKC on Thursday (12-10-15) at 7 p.m.
