Peaslee Technical Training Center Receives Grant Blog News 12/01/2015 Tweet The Peaslee Technical training center received 10,000 dollars from the Stultz Family Foundation. The training center opened this fall and currently has 150 students enrolled. Those numbers are expected to dramatically increase next year. Executive Director of Peaslee, Marvin Hunt said the training center adds a level of education to Lawrence not provided by KU or Haskell. Hunt said the center offers specialized training in areas of construction, electrician and mechanics. Hunt said Peaslee will use the donation to finishing renovating its newly furnished building and improve classrooms.
