Royals Win Massachusetts Street Flooded with Fans

The Kansas City Royals are the new world champions after defeating the New York Mets in Comeback fashion 7-2.

The Royals were down two to zero before a ninth inning push to send the game into extra innings. The Boys in Blue then exploded in the 12th inning scoring 5 runs before Wade Davis retired the side.

After the win Students and Community members flooded the streets of Lawrence. Mass Street had hundreds of people. The corner of 14th and Ohio also had heavy pedestrian traffic.

Around 1:30 a.m. the goal posts in Memorial Stadium were taken down and thrown in to potter lake. The estimated Damage was over $10,000 dollars.
