It is a tradition that has grown over the years, and today marked the 60th annual World Expo hosted by the International Students and Scholar Services Association at KU.
Students from different countries set up tables in the ballroom of the Kansas Union to teach others about their culture.
Junior Kun Zhou was the representative from China.
“It’s a very good opportunity for students from different countries to learn each other, to know each other,” Zhou said.
Along with KU students, high school students attended the Expo as well as part of a field trip.
“There’s a lot of different cultures out there. Everyone is different,” Perry High School junior Cameron Bedford said.
Bedford and his classmates attended the event to learn more about the different cultures that attend KU.
